HINDU COUNCIL OF KENYA, KISUMU BRANCH
Hindu Council of Kenya, Kisumu branch organized their Signature Programme for the down trodden people of the region FREE EYE CAMP. We focus on EYE HEALTH.
In the series of our Annual Event, this was 7th Eye Camp, starting from the year 2015.
We could not do any camps during 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic, however, we covered up the loss of time by conducting 2 Eye Camps in the year 2022.
The current FREE EYE CAMP was conducted at Kibigori Town of Kisumu County about 45 Km from Kisumu on Sunday,13th November,2022.
The Camp was fully sponsored by MUKESH DEVA KESHWALA and LATE MEENABEN ANUPKUMAR VAKANI from UK.
Highlights of the Camp
Total Patients Screened – 618
Total Patients identified for Cataract -108
Total Eyes for Cataract – 148
No.of Glasses Distributed – Free of Charge – 194
Medicine to all needy were provided free of charge.
The camp was a resounding success because
Sponsors for providing full financial support
Mr.Kamal Shah for providing all logistics at the site
The team of volunteers who toiled for the whole day and took personal care of all the patients
The medical team from Sabatia Eye Hospital provided their service
MAXCURE Hospitals provided with blood sugar, BMI and Blood Pressure Testing free of charge
ISKCON for providing food for all the patients free of cost
UZIMA University for providing transport to ferry all the cataract patients to SABATIA free of cost
We the Hindu Council of Kenya, Kisumu believe in Helping our brethren’s in need of hour.
We were happy to assist the patients in the age group of year 1 to year 81.
